Cranial Sacral Therapy
Cranial sacral therapy is a form of bodywork that enhances the body's natural ability to heal. By applying subtle manipulations, it helps alleviate restrictions in the bones of the head, sacrum, and spinal column. Through palpating the cranial wave, the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the central nervous system is normalised.
At Woof & Hoof, I use cranial sacral therapy to release deep-seated tension and promote overall balance in your animal's body - working to release spinal tension, improve skeletal flexibility, increase muscular and nervous system function, and assist with the release of emotional trauma.
Cranial sacral therapy can enhance your animal's emotional and physical healing from the inside out.

What can cranial sacral therapy help with?
Cranial sacral therapy is commonly used to support dogs and horses experiencing:
-
Emotional trauma or behavioural changes
-
Spinal tension and vertebral misalignment
-
Lameness and movement restrictions
-
Joint pain and stiffness
-
Post-injury or post-surgery recovery
-
Nervous system dysregulation
-
TMJ (jaw) tension and restriction
Cranial sacral therapy can enact some profound changes in animals with emotional trauma. I always feel so privileged to be part of an animal's healing journey, and for them to trust me enough to share their past experiences with me.
What to expect after a session:
Your animal may experience both physical and emotional releases during a cranial sacral therapy session and can appear somewhat sedated following treatment due to the tension release. I recommend a few quiet days afterwards to allow your animal's central nervous system to normalise and fully respond to the treatment.

At 4 years of age, our Labrador Sami was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and severe spinal fusion. This was causing pressure on her spinal cord and affecting all movement. After facing the real possibility of putting our Sami to sleep, we got in contact with Minda. Sami is about to turn 10 and we have no doubt that her longevity is due to Minda’s treatments. I can’t really explain what Minda does, but we can see (and hear) the benefits of her work. Sami loves her massages and we cannot thank Minda enough for the support she has given to Sami.
